Warehouse Labels
Situation
A manufacturing facility in Morris Il looking to incorporate the latest technologies in a typical warehouse decoration project. Business manufactures various high-end architectural concrete masonry units and stores components and finished goods until ready for shipment. Implementing a WMS system using Intermec CK30 scanners and scanning from 50+ feet.
Solution
Scanning from 50 feet is typically just beyond expectations of Retro-reflective. Even using 150 mil code 128 the barcode is nearly 16" and with acceptable quiet zone the label would need to be nearly 20" long with no guarantee of reliable scanning even with EXL scan engines. Since the customer was using the CK30 pre-print was able to print 600 mil variable Data Matrix barcodes on white polyester and acquire scan distances of 60'+. The customer also needed the finished labels mounted to PVC placards with 4 drilled holes delivered ready to mount in the new facility.
Summary
Barcodes West is one of the only facilities in the US capable of printing up to 1000 mil sequential and variable 2D barcodes in line with lamination, die cutting and sheeting on either white polyester or retro-reflective. Finishing services include mounting to custom manufactured PVC placards, drilled holes and delivered full ready to hang.
